The new China RoHS Standard SJ/T 11364-2014 “Regulations for the Labelling of the Use of Restrained Hazardous Substances on Electronic and Electric Products” has been published. It will replace the current 2006 edition. The main changes are listed below:
1. The name of the Standard has changed from “Electronic Information Products” to Electronic and Electric Products”
2. The GB 18455 “Package Recyling Label” has been removed from the normative references
3. Requirements for digital labeling with display functions
The scope of this Standard essentially has been expanded to cover all electronic and electrical products with rated voltage less than 1500 VDC or 1000 VAC. Until a date of enforcement is announced by MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China), the current SJ/T 11364-2006 will remain effective.
