As of now, it is mandated that manufacturers must have their products bear eK (Product Safety and EMC) or MIC (EMC and/or Telecom) marks for South Korean market. Now, we can provide you with more complete global testing services with South Korea Testing Service capability! Benefits of this affiliation is as listed below.

Benefits of submitting for eK and MIC marks through G&M Compliance Labratories

1. Turn-around time frame is much faster than submitting directly to KETI or other Korean testing labs. (Complete certification time frame is 2-8 weeks vs. 6-8 months when going directly to Korean agencies.)
2. Clients do not have to go through trouble of translating and submitting necessary documents in Korean. G & M can translate all safety relevant instructions (eK) and user's manual (MIC).
3. Test units do not have to be shipped to Korea, thus avoiding trouble and delay in going through custom at the ports in case of eK mark. Although product needs to be shipped to Korea for MIC mark, G & M is equipped to perform complete preliminary evaluation and scanning for MIC testing; therefore, providing you with peace of mind that your product will pass the actual MIC certification in Korea, which in turn practically eliminates traveling of your engineers to Korea due to possible failures you might encounter otherwise.
4. Potential communication and language barriers are eliminated.
5. Manufacturers are no longer required to have a manufacturing location in Korea. Having a representative will suffice the requirement. And, G & M can provide clients with a South Korea based representative if clients do not currently have one.
6. If clients have CB scheme report, G & M can review and accept the report (eK mark).
7. G&M is also authorized to perform annual surveillance and follow-up services locally for U.S. based manufacturers.
