What is the GOST-R Mark?

As from 1992 Russian laws came into force making it mandatory that most products bound for Russia are tested and certified in accordance with Russian standards - a service which G&M Compliance, Inc. can provide.

In order for products to comply with the governmental regulations and gain access to Russia, manufacturers must receive GOST-R Certificate of Conformity for their products. Furthermore, to receive clearance by Russian customs authorities, products must bear the GOST-R Mark of Conformity.

Products bearing the GOST-R Mark of Conformity indicate that they are in compliance with the relevant Russian standards and a GOST-R Certificate of Conformity has been issued by an accredited certification body. Shipments accompanied by the GOST-R Certificate of Conformity and the GOST-R Mark of Conformity affixed to the product will pass through customs and be accepted at point of sale in Russia.

What is the process?
  • G&M Compliance, Inc. can determine whether your products require the GOST-R Mark.
  • Provide Implementing Regulations
  • Provide a complete description of the product, list all components, include all diagrams, identify all materials, include all instruction manuals, plus other information as prescribed by GOST-R Mark.
  • Provide a test sample.
