What is the CB-Scheme?

The IECEE CB Scheme is the world¹s first truly international system for acceptance of test reports dealing with the safety of electrical and electronic products. It is a multilateral agreement among participating countries and certification organizations. A manufacturer utilizing a CB test report issued by one of these organizations can obtain national certification in all other member countries of the CB Scheme. It is currently only for product safety standards.

The Scheme is based on the use of international (IEC) Standards. The CB Scheme, also known as the Scheme of the International Electrotechnical Commission System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrical Equipment (IECEE), offers manufacturers an opportunity to increase global marketability. The scheme facilitates the international exchange and acceptance of product-safety test results among participating Certification Bodies for national approval or certification in one or more countries, normally without the need for additional testing. This is a universal goal among suppliers, consumers, and interested parties stated as ³one standard, one test, accepted everywhere.²

What's the process:

G&M Compliance , Inc. can determine whether your products fall under the CB Scheme. Provide Implementing Regulations and testing procedures.
Provide a complete description of the product, list all components, include all diagrams, identify all materials, include all instruction manuals, plus other information as prescribed by CB Scheme.
Provide a test sample.
